introduction to Golf
Coach Glen Beaver and his team have been teaching Homeschool students the basics of the golf swing, chipping and putting since Fall 2018. Students of varying ages are divided by age and/or experience level in a group setting. Students can also expect to learn important core values and life skills that can be applied in the daily lives as they progress through a program adapted from First Tee. Preferred starting age: 5
While this can be an introductory class for beginner golfers, many of our golfers have remained in our program and developed into tournament level players. All golfers have the opportunity to grow in golf skill and character at their own level while making friends.
Golf clubs will be provided. However, if parents prefer to supply their own Coach strongly recommends U.S. Kids golf clubs. Click here to learn why they are safer for junior golfers to use during early stages of development. Used sets are often sold online by parents on various websites and apps. We are happy to offer guidance after we meet your golfer and assess their ability.

"I'm so grateful to be a part of Glen Beaver Golf. It is a gift to have teachers like you in my kids' lives. Thank you for offering these sessions and for your time. It is truly appreciated. :-)
I'm really appreciating the assignments and know my kids are benefiting from them. In the previous two weeks, we've read through your posts together and discussed core values and golf terminology. We have read more about integrity and we had a meaningful discussion about tricky situations and dilemmas and whether the character in snippets we read acted with integrity. They've been engaged and I believe have wanted/tried to complete the assignments.
Each of my kids really struggles with putting thoughts on paper, so getting written output was definitely challenging. It's one of the hardest skills we work on but it helps to have the expectation come from you. They're paying attention and working to be responsive, and we intend to continue working on golf homework when it's assigned." -Nadia K. 11/7/23
