On March 25, 2020 all Palm Beach County golf courses closed down operations in response to directives given to control the spread of COVID-19. While I expected the day would come, it meant that life as I know it would be changing. It also meant that securing a place to teach when the golf courses reopen would be quite challenging.
The management of Okeeheelee and Park Ridge Golf Courses will change hands this month. I am hopeful that the new management company will allow me to continue teaching on premises but as of right now no decisions have been made. I am positive that I will get back to teaching when the executive orders have been revised. I encourage you to also stay positive. Please do not allow this season to steal your life, live it to the full, make new memories and do what you can to stay healthy. This will pass and when it does, you do not want to look back at this time and wonder why you didn't do more with your "downtime." As for me, I will be spending time with my daughter, walking, running, strength training and of course doing golf drills in my backyard without a ball just like I have encouraged all of my students to do. Additionally, I am working on some short video reminders that I hope will help you sharpen your golf skills. Stay in touch and please send me videos. I am happy to provide feedback!
